We kept the dimensions the same on the 179 Bro, reducing the radius to 32 meters while maintaining the not-too-fat, not-too-skinny dimensional characteristics and threw in two full layers of carbon fiber to make lighter for touring and a Ferrari on the piste. An all condition slayer on the mountain in our ultimate one-ski quiver of sticks, the 99 mm waist provides ample float in off-piste conditions, but is narrow enough to be adept, quick and sure-edged enough to keep you on your feet in a 55 degree couloir that has turned to ice. We tweaked the sidecut to perfection in the 179. It’s a powder ski, a tree ski, a tele ski, an alpine ski and has really been a hit with ski mountaineers seeking light weight and icy mountain performance with effortless turning capabilities in all conditions. Based on feedback from all who have skied the new carbon 179s, we feel they could easily be the best ski ever made. The 179 Bro simply does it all. And it does it all very well. We have utilized our carbon fiber hybrid layup to mold the 179 Bro into a ski with a universal flex for everyone.  It flexes like a fiberglass ski for those who want a soft flex, while exhibiting a carbon fiber stiffness toward the bottom of turns for more agressive skiers.
