PM Gear Ski and Snowboard Warranty


PM Gear warrants all products sold by PM Gear to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. If a product is found defective by PM Gear, in its sole discretion, PM Gear's only responsibility shall be limited to repair and/or replacement of the defective product. PM Gear will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of loss or use of product. It is advised all products be inspected upon receipt to prevent any and all returns due to defects. 

This warranty is subject to the following limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of applicable law.

  1. The warranty applies only to PM Gear products purchased from said company and is valid for the original purchaser from said company only.
  2. All products returned to PM Gear for warranty inspection must receive prior return authorization which can be given over the phone. Ship products freight prepaid and insured. PM Gear assumes no responsibility for products during shipment from the customer to our Warranty Department. Shipping charges are not refundable.
  3. Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:
    1. Damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.
    2. Damage caused by failure, improper mounting or adjustment of the bindings
    3. Normal wear and tear.
    4. Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.
    5. Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives or LOC-TITE®.
    6. Damage caused by use on improper hardware for mounting bindings.
    7. Damage to PM Gear products caused by non-PM Gear products
  4. All coverage under this warranty is void if any modification, change or alteration has been made to the product that is not specifically authorized in writing by PM Gear.
  5. Repaired or replaced products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty only.
  6. All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt from customer of said company. Invoice or charge receipt must clearly identify the dealer.


  1. PM Gear product is not covered by any verbal warranties. ROCK DAMAGE AND ANY OTHER IMPACT RELATED DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY. ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ANY WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW AS HEREBY LIMITED, THE FOREGOING EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES, AGREEMENTS AND SIMILAR OBLIGATIONS OF MANUFACTURER OR SELLER. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.


Ski & Board Guidelines

Covered:

Structural cracks or delamination of top sheet, base, core, edge, sidewall , tip and base metal inserts and core breakage.

Not Covered:

Any problem resulting from misuse, abuse, rock or rail impact or neglect.

Cosmetic issues including discolored graphics, top sheet dents or chips, edge oxidation.

Base dimples caused by improper mounting.

Ski damage resulting from improper mounting of bindings, the use of incorrect mounting hardware, or abusive sanding or stonegrinding by shops.

Damage caused by any modifications to the skis.

Tips For Shipping Skis & Boards

Remove bindings from board before returning.

Use a box for shipping boards. Plastic wrap will not protect the board in transit.

Do not use a "permanent" marker to point out a board's problem.

STEP TWO

Evaluate the validity of the claim.

Was the product purchased in the last 12 months?

Does the damage appear to be attributable to defective materials or workmanship?

Does the damage appear to be due to rock or rail impact, abuse, negligence, or reactions to heat, solvents, or harsh detergents?

STEP THREE
Pack and ship the product immediately.

Include the original proof of purchase (receipt).

Include a brief description of the problem.

Mark the defect clearly with a piece of masking tape.

Tape a note with your name and address to the skis

Customers are responsible for shipping charges to PM Gear. Overnight and 2-Day shipments to PM Gear will be returned in the same manner at our expense. Within 5 days of receipt of product, the claim will be handled in one of the following ways:

If the returned product is within the valid warranty period of one year and judged by PM Gear to be defective, we will repair or replace the product. The warranty remains valid on repaired and replaced items for the balance of one year from the original purchase date.

If defective product is wholesaled by PM Gear, PM Gear accepts full responsibility to address warranty problems and honor all aspects of warranty as expressed herein.

If the problem is determined to be not covered under warranty but can be repaired, we will call with a quote, and to get authorization to proceed with the repair.

If the problem is not covered under warranty nor repairable, the product will be returned as is. Street address and phone number are required. We cannot return ship to a PO Box.
